Due to the covid-19 pandemic we have to see what will be possible this year.

At the end of this year, probably in November-December like last year, we wantt to hold our live stream event “Gaming for Charity – paws fo the soul” again.

Ivana Seger is doing with her dog Sissi therapy sessions in 6 different facilities and in every one of them the therapy has the funded with donations, because the german health care is not paying for this kind of important therapy.

Gaming against Cancer – Paws for the soul

Hello Commanders!

Another time you showed how strong the community of World of Tanks and Wargaming is. After the charity appeal of Fallen13 in November and with 10 streams there were 7000€ gathered for palliative ward of the Horst-Schmidt Clinic in Wiesbaden.

The gathered money secured the dog therapy for another year, plus a part of the education of the next dog.

We want to thank everybody which supported the event and Fallen13 is also very thankful:

“Gaming against Cancer” proudly handed over the astonishing amount of 7101€ to Prof. Dr. Frickhofen. The entire donations will be managed by the german society of palliative medicine. and will be used exclusively for the therapy of “Emma – Heroine on four paws”. The money secured one yeat the therapy programme, plus the education of another dog.

Hello everybody,

like last year we would like to collect again money for the palliative ward of the Horst-Schmidt-Clinic in Wiesbaden, but sadly this year is the last year, where we are able to deliver the donated money (in this case a symbolic cheque) to Prof. Dr. Frickhofen, because hen is getting retired, so we decided to give him a worthy farewell.

The christmas market will be held this year from the 6th december to the 8th december in Oelsberg, if anybody is interested in this event or wants more informations here is the link to a short german TV-report (Link here).

This year the streams will be held from the 15th november to the 6th december and the money can be donated under the following link directly to the german society for palliative medicine. This year we are gathering the money for the therapy dogs of Ivana Seger and the temporarily goal is 9999€, if necessary it will be extented the amount, also it’s optional to support the website betterplace.org (if not you can still donate them 0€). The mission of the dogs is to spend joy and comfort, to convey closeness, warmth and distraction, as well as a situation which has nothing to do with fear, worries and sorrows.

We chose that we don’t want any donation goal, because we have the opinion that if a certain amount of money is not achieved a lot of people will be sad, although every Euro counts, also is there a pressure to reach a certain amount and this is something I don’t want, so there is no donation goal.

As giveaways we will have 3 CD’s and a Bismarck WoWs poster signed by Sabaton, a 100cm plush-torpedo from WoWs, 1 epic WoWs Code with 4 black ships, 2 VIP WoWs codes with the Irian, Z-39 and West Virginia, 1 WoWS Code with the Tirpitz and Atlanta signed by Dasha, a shirt signed by Dasha and beside the chance to win some premium time in every of the WoT CC streams, there will also a tier 7 premium tank of your choice given away and 5 Bretagne Panthers with 2500 Gold, 7 Days Premium and an autograph of Richard “the_Challenger” Cutland. Also Wargaming is trying to take part actively with separated giveaways, they are checking their schedule.

And not to forget the german bureaucracy: The recourse to the courts is not permitted. The winners agree to send their personal address in order to receive the physical prizes. Facebook is not connected with this charity event or the possible winnings.

We say thank you for the donations!

Sadly a couple of days passed by since we delivered the donations, but because of health issues I couldn’t write earlier! And now the “acceptance speech” of Fallen13:

“On the 9th december 2018 we delivered the donations from the charity stream with a small delegation.

It was a great success!

Together we could deliver the astonishing amount of 2123,07€.

All present people were amazed what we archieved with playing online games.

Many thanks also from the director of the oncological ward Prof. Dr. Frickhofen.

We from the “Eisernen Löwen”, Commander Fallen13 and Deputy Commander Atlan35 delivered together with Zhenwu the donations personally to Prof. Dr. Frickhofen at the christmas market.

Last but not least a few word from me, first of all many thanks also from me to the people which supported the streams and it was an honour to support this event, although I would not say that I didn’t worked that much nor supported it so much as some people say. I hope that next year we will break the 3000€ border or if a small 500 people village in the middle of nowhere should gather 10000€, we should archieve that as well!

The christmas time counts as a pensive time, in which you defer your daily stress and focus on the cozier things in life and a lot of people might use this opportunity to think about people, which doesn’t have a easy life. In the beginning of november we already asked for your support of the charity event of War Child. You can read here how successful the event was.

Charity has a very big value for us and we are glad that somebody connects his passion for our games with a charity event. Together with some other members of the community, Fallen13 uses the coming christmas time to organize a donation marathon stream with World of Tanks, World of Warplanes and World of Warships.

We find it an awesome event and hope that you support it.
